As a large, multi-faceted healthcare organization, Northeast Health wanted to enable online patient care functionality for their four Primary Care facilities; scheduling, prescriptions, referrals, etc. To accomplish this, via our joint-venture entity, e-Terra, we developed a secure patient front-end that allows patients to log in and request the services required and have the request automatically logged into the Patient record and forwarded to the appropriate Primary Care center. The back-end allows Care Center personnel to review the patient's history and respond to the request. Feedback is automatically returned to the patient and, in the case of prescriptions and referrals, the necessary forms are automatically forwarded the appropriate pharmacy or insurer. The system has eliminated hundred of hours of manpower spent on these routine tasks.
At the same time, the company needed a way to enable in-house management of an extensive corporate site, running to hundreds of pages, that featured information both about the organization and general health care issues. We delivered an easy to use web-based Content Management system to bring the herculean task of maintaining the general corporate site under control.
